Heels, Sneakers, or Both?

The Bride, on June 16, 2019 at 2:05 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 138

In my day to day life I don't want heels, however, for my wedding it was expected that I would sport at least a three-inch pump. After a discussion with my maid of honor, I decided on the perfect compromise, I would wear heels to the ceremony and sneakers during the reception.

What will you be wearing on your wedding day? Heels, Sneakers, or Both?

Same here! I am going to do heels for the ceremony and then TOMS for the reception. Although, I'm unsure about which pair of shoes to wear for the alternations of the dress... what are you doing?

Yahhh! Thank you for posting the first comment. Smiley heart

I got my dress made and during the alterations, I wore my heels so that I could walk down the aisle without needing to hold the dress up.

One pair of heels for the ceremony… A second pair of heels for the reception... and I’ll have flip-flops on hand for later in the night.

Hmm, interesting. Why two different pairs of heels?

Wear the heels for alterations otherwise your dress will be too short once the heels are on. At the reception, it doesn’t matter if your dress drags the ground a bit (and no one will really be able to see your flat shoes anyway)

Our venue is non- traditional and our ceremony and reception have 2 distinct different colors (which we loved). So to have fun with it, FH and I are changing our accent pieces from the ceremony to reception. He’s changing his jacket from one color to another. I’m changing my hair accessories, jewelry, dress sash/belt and shoes.

That's what I thought! Thank you! I've seen a too short dress before and it looked not very flattering.

I love the idea of wearing heels for my ceremony, I’ve seen some gorgeous ones. However I know that I just can’t walk in heels and I’d look ridiculous trying to balance myself down the aisle . 🤣 So I’m either going to wear sparkly flats or boots. I’ve also thought of sparkly keds too. I just can’t make up my mind.

Both! Do a smaller heel for the ceremony then change. My fiancé’s cousins wife did that and it was adorable

Heels, but no more than 2- inch. I'll be getting dance shoes which I'm used to and have worn for hours.

Honestly I changed into sneakers for the reception and no one noticed so it was perfect.
