heel protectors to stop heels sinking in the grass?

kahlcara, on July 22, 2013 at 11:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

I'm thinking about doing these for my WP, myself and my mom, the ones my mom is finding are like $13 a pair. Has anyone had good experiences with a particular brand/shape, etc and is there anywhere to find them for less? I think I need like 8 or 9 pairs.

I bought some for my shoes at a wedding superstore where I live.. On the day of my wedding I took them out of the package to put on my heels and they were to big.. They slid off.. I don't know if they come in different sizes but they didn't fit my shoes.. I paid about $10 for them... Make sure they fit your heels.

I don't think you are obligated to buy them for your girls. You can just suggest them if they think they will have issues. I have never used them, and I just put more pressure on my toes. For the wedding, if the ground is wet, I'll be switching shoes anyway so I don't mess up the pretty shoes!

Good point about making sure they fit--I have a dress fitting this weekend so will have my shoes when I go to the store. maybe not everyone needs them--at least they will be able to see their feet (short dresses), I'm mostly worried about people tripping.. like if my heels get stuck and I don't realize because long dress.

Is this for your ceremony outside? If so, here's another idea without the heal protectors for everyone.

    Here they are for $9.95/pair

If this is something you want to do, you can definitely do it for cheaper than $13! Just keep looking and googling. I ran across some the other day, but of course, can't find them now. Good luck!

I bought mine @ the front area of DSW in a display for all those gel things, etc. They were probably $9 or $10. They fit my heels and were great. Didn't ruin the fabric of the shoes, either, which I was a little concerned about. They might have been that Solemates brand.

Yes, outdoor wedding. I think there's a little stone patio type area where we will be standing (havent seen the venue since November, can't wait for this weekend), but I'm concerned about walking in on the grass.
