Heavy metal brides! What’s your play list?

Tiffany, on May 3, 2019 at 1:30 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
What are your processional song, what you are walking to etc?
For processional we’re thinking Inhale by Killswitch Engage or Beautiful by Apocalyptica.
i am walking down to Voice of the Soul by Death.
At a loss of all the other songs! What are you jamming to?

I'm not using metal for either of those (FH is more of the metal person!) But we'll be using the intro to The Last Stand by Sabaton as our grand entrance song.

I am using classic jazz in the processional being a string duo playing what a "wonderful world" and "at last" the recessional is journey "don't stop believing."

    I don't know the rest

Oh and yes we are metal people. We just don't know where it will be. We may have the dinosaur metal kids band music at the reception.

We are metal and rock people ourselves. For the ceremony we kept the music a little more traditional (IE instrumental versions of love songs), but the recessional song was Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen to start getting the rock in there. Throughout the reception we had key events accompanied by metal/rock of varying heaviness or sub generes.
Grand entrance: Song #3 by Stone Sour
First dance: Nothing Else Matters by Metallica
Cake cutty: Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leopard
Last call: Dance Macabre by Ghost
Last dance: Enter Sandman by Metallica

Throughout the party we had some people that requested metal songs, and when over half of our small guest count left for the night I told our dj to play more metal in general, got more Ghost, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica,Three Days Grace, Disturbed and that ilk thrown in there for the last hour or two of the party we were there for.

Thank you all for input! We’re actually having a life metal band at the end of the night even. That’s the most exciting part to me aside from the actual wedding ceremony itself lol!

I was considering using "Only One in Color" by Trapt as our first dance since it's our song, but decided to go with something else.

We like a wide variety of music but we have thrown in a lot of black Sabbath, Judas priest, and some slightly more obscure bands, mostly on the reception but I am keeping the metal/ rock list lighter since most of our guests will do better with mainstream music. My dad is a big hair metal fan so we have a few selections just for him.
