Headband versus the ribbon headpiece question

kelsey, on April 11, 2014 at 12:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Hey ladies! So I have a veil I am wearing for the ceremony but I am looking for a rhinestone headpiece I can wear either just for the reception or along with the veil for the ceremony as well as reception. I am trying to figure out which type of "headband" would be best. The regular hard headband or the ribbon type. I don't want it to be falling off but I also don't want it to be uncomfortable. I have obviously warn headbands before but I haven't worn the ribbon kind. Any thoughts?

The headbands pictured aren't necessarily the ones I will purchase but I was just trying to show the ribbon versus normal. Thanks for your help Smiley smile

I know that I get a headache if I wear a regular handband for more than a couple hours. If that's the case for you then definitely do the ribbon one. You could always have the ribbon headband pinned in place if you're worried about it falling off. Hope that helps!

I bought the ribbon version and I love it! I feel like the ribbons are more forgiving because of different head shapes and sizes.

Headbands can get uncomfortable especially if it doesn't shape perfectly around your head.

I'm doing a metal headpiece that will be pinned in place for both the ceremony and reception along with my veil. It is more of a headband type thing. Below is a pic of it. I tried on some ribbon headpieces in stores and I was worried about them falling out as well as what I would do to hide the ends of the ribbon that hand down.

Thanks for the help- I have chronic headaches so I definitely do not want any additional head pain. :0. Ribbon probably is the best way to go which is what I was thinking but I was worried about it falling off but you are right bobby pins will hold it in place. Etsy here I come!

My headband t is metal and has combs on the sides so it does not bother my head like normal headbands do and it will stay in place. I think the ribbon ones are pretty but they may come untied.
