Head table or sweetheart table?

Michelle, on November 12, 2019 at 6:11 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14
So I keep going back and forth on having a head table or not, the reason I don't want a head table is because most of our wedding party is either married or has small kids. If we have a sweetheart table we would have to place it right in front of the bar area ( bar will be closed during dinner) and then break it down once dinner is over. I feel like that's a hassle. The way our hall is laid out our head table would be on one sign of the room and I don't want anyone to feel neglected. Ugh help!

We'll be doing a sweetheart table for that same reason. Our party doesn't have any kids but they'll still have a guest/family member that they'll rather sit with. We wouldn't want anyone to be separated.

Sweetheart table for sure. Maybe your venue can come up with another option for placing it somewhere once you have your final numbers.

We did a full bridal party table but I'd recommend a sweetheart unless you want the kids or SOs to be at the table too.

Sweetheart table. Are you able to place the sweetheart table where the head table would have been?

I mean we could but we wouldn't really be seen if we did that, the dance floor splits the room so at the front is the DJ and the bar is directly across

We are doing a sweetheart table to make it extra intimate and romantic for us. Plus we are the newly weds, we want to be in our moment with each other.

It sounds like even if you have the head table it won't solve the problem of making sure you're seen which is usually the whole point of either the sweetheart or head tables. I wonder if you could set it up next to the DJ instead of in front of the DJ? I would have to see your room's layout to get an idea of your spacing.

We chose a sweetheart table because we wanted our wedding party to sit with their significant others. Also, it’s all about the bride and groom so I think it’s more special if it’s just you two at the table.

Sweetheart! Or just sit at a regular table with your MOH/BM and their SO's/families and place the bridal party members with friends that make sense.
