Head table backdrop

Mackenzie, on February 1, 2018 at 6:47 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
How important is a backdrop for the head table? I’ve gone back and forth about renting one. The cheapest one I could find is around $500 for the first 24’ without lighting.
Right now the head table sits against a plain white wall. I just can’t justify paying that much if we are going to be sitting at the table for around 20 minutes but I also know a lot of pictures will be taken there.
Thoughts?!
Or any help for alternatives?? (We are not allowed to hang anything from the ceiling or walls)

I like plants! Does a small tree fit in with your style? If so maybe you can put one on either side abs slightly behind your table. Then you get to bring it home and reuse it after the wedding, but you are still nicely framed.

If you or your fiance is handy, make a wood back drop with legs on it, paint it a color of your choice and string battery operated lights from it.

Can you make your own using a pipe and drape with a beautiful fabric and some florals or greenery?

If you’re not allowed to hang anything from the ceiling or walls than you are going to be limited in what you can do. Have you asked the venue what other couples have done?

The potted tree idea is a good or and you string fairy lights on them. Maybe your florist can do a balloon arch.

Walmart has a backdrop support stand for $25. You can then buy fabric and clips. You can trim it with floral garland so you don’t see the clips or poles.

Doesn’t really fit with the decor but I could find something similar! Good idea, thanks!
