Am I the only one obsessed with the whole collection? I’m literally “pray”ing to get my hands on Praise by Hayley Paige!! I need advice is it worth the pretty penny or should I use my pennies on something else? [mind you this dress would cost more than my whole wedding] 🥴 any input will be greatly appreciated TYIA 😘

I had my mind and heart set on the “hayley” from day one. i ended up trying it on, and as much as i loved it, i ended up finding something even better. with alterations the hayley would’ve been closer to 8k. personally, i couldn’t justify spending that on a dress when that’s what we paid for our venue. honestly the dress wasn’t as good quality as you’d think.

If an article of clothing costs more than your wedding, (and you actually needed to ask advice about buying it)... then it sounds like you already have the obvious answer.

My "vision" dress was super expensive also. I was warned by many to not even try it on and put myself through the heartbreak of not being willing to pay over 4k. Being that I am stubborn...I tried on this savings draining dress and i just didnt love it! I ended up loving a trumpet style off the rack discontinued gown. Who knew this body conscious gal would go for a fitted dress? 11 more days until I get to wear it!! Short story, keep an open mind and good luck!

If you have the money and aren't going into debt for it..I guess. Its a personal decision. I personally don't think a dress you're going to wear once is worth it. Money can be spent on so many other, better, things. Then again, I also don't have a lot of money. Not hayley Paige money anyway.

I just looked around online for that dress and there are some used/sample dresses for sale and the price isnt killer. I am really struggling with the dress. As Ive mentioned before, I didn't think I cared at all about the dress and I bought a couple of cheap dresses from Chinese Wholesalers. And then I fell in love with a Sherri Hill 'prom dress' that was $850 😬 (which is a cheap wedding dress). I bought it and still love it but I am currently obsessed with a Maggie Sottero dress that is being held for me at a boutique 3hrs away. Im going to try it on sometime next week. It is $2k. My all inclusive wedding venue was only slightly more than that (small wedding). I don't have a lot of money (and Im funding the wedding by selling some of my collections - toys, dolls, antiques) This is my once in a lifetime - Im going to get what I want ❤️

I love the Hayley Paige dresses but they are way too expensive, so I found one on stillwhite.com that still had tags on and was never worn/altered for like 80% off so I bought it as my reception dress! I am so ecstatic, try still white or other sites like that!

Agree with others that only you know enough about your financial situation to make a decision about how much you can afford to spend on a dress. However, I also think it makes sense for most elements of a wedding to be consistent regarding level of formality/theme/etc. So, personally, I wouldn't spend a huge amount on a wedding dress for an otherwise "budget wedding." Spending thousands on a dress, and then asking guests to pot luck the reception food or have a cash bar because it "costs too much" to host the guests invited isn't likely to go unnoticed by your guests and probably won't reflect well on you. (We attended a wedding where they spared NO expense on things that had nothing to do with the guests and were pretty self-indulgent -- e.g., two different video drones??? -- then had a cash bar, including soda.... Yeah, LOTS of eye-rolling at that wedding.)

Daughter and I visited four bridal salons and she must have tried on at LEAST 50 gowns, and the vast majority of them were gorgeous. I don't think it's necessary to spend a HUGE amount of money to find a beautiful dress that makes you look amazing on your wedding day. You're going to wear it once, and after the fact most guests will recall little about it except that you were glowing. Good luck!

If you haven't tried it on, I wouldn't have your heart set on it. What I thought I absolutely wanted ended up being something that I hated on. You may surprise yourself and end up with something totally different. I went over on budget but only by a couple hundred dollars. The consultant put me in dresses that were over my budget and when I put MINE on I said in my mind that if it was more than $500 over, I was walking. Don't spend so much that you're taking away from the rest of the weddingSmiley smile

I second this. A lot of the gowns I see on there are SEVERELY discounted and in amazing shape and have been dry cleaned. If I wasn't so short and would need to alter the dress to high heaven, I did consider this.

I absolutely loved an thought I needed a Morilee gown. It was stunning. I tried it on and it looked okay on me. It was a stunning gown, but it wasn’t mine. I ended up with a slightly more affordable gown that I loved. Keep that in mind - no matter how much you love it, it may just not be for you. As far as should you do it - can you buy it without going into debt? It’s all up to you and your FS. I wouldn’t do it.

I got my Hayley Paige dress (which I absolutely love) from a trunk show of hers that was held at a local bridal salon - typically there are add-on specials and discounts available at these events. If you have your heart set on her designs, it's worth a look to see if there's any trunk shows near you! Good luck!!

It hurts my heart because I am STRIAGHT UP obsessed with Blush by Hailey Paige. No matter what I did though, I couldn't afford the price tag... Unless I legit wanted to postpone my wedding by 3 years, then maybe. But just no. I do totally understand though, and FIRMLY believe in splurging on the important details. And yes, your dress IS one of those. Smiley heart You should love the biggest thing you are going to remember about yourself on your wedding day. I know for sure I'll remember more about my own dress than the food I was eating.

PS. Ended up with a Stella York dress. I never tried on a HP dress because I knew better lol.

If you don't mind, and it's just out of curiosity, but what really is a trunk show, and what do they offer by going? I already have my dress, but I see these offered a ton by local bridal salons. They sound fun, and book up fast.. But I just have no clue what they are.

I also was obsessed with her dresses! If you have time, see if any dress shops around you hold annuals sales that sell her dresses. I went to a bridal salon that was having all of their dresses for half off and had her dressss for under $1000!

    Try Stillwhite.com
What I did was go to the store and try different dresses and then went on stillwhite and Oder one a few inches bigger than my actual size.

To my (limited) understanding a trunk show is just an opportunity for designers to show off and sell dresses outside of their select "exclusive-retailers". I live in Las Vegas and there are unfortunately zero stores that are authorized to carry or sell Hayley Paige dresses. It was a lot of fun and they offer discounts and add-ons if you buy your dress the day of!
