Hawaii or Costa Rica?

I have been to Hawaii two times and I love it! It is becoming more affordable now that flights there are getting cheaper. I will say - the flight SUCKS. Its long. For me, its 10 hours direct or 3 1/2 to LA and then 6 to Hawaii.

We are going to Costa Rica for our honeymoon - the flight is shorter and we have both never been before.

I think they can both be expensive or budget depending on where you stay and what activities you want to do. Both have plenty of free options, but both also have lots of expensive excursions available as well.

Never been to Costa Rica but I love Hawaii. Very expensive, but worth every penny imo. We are planning to go for our 1 year anniversary. My FILs live in LA so we’re planning to stop there for a couple days on the way to Hawaii and on the way back to break up the long trip!

I think it really depends on a few things:
where fo you live?
is budget a legit concern? (is there wiggle room?)
we are doing Hawaii because it is a little bit of a splurge and honestly I don’t think that we will have the chance to do anything that extravagant for a reeeaaalllyy long time (we want to start having kids immediately)

Oh, and for reasons why Hawaii, this photo is enough for me 😂 google the Grand Wailea in Maui. Most magical place on earth.

We are going to Hawaii for ours in September and finding all kids of deals! We are planners tho so booking things early and getting discounts. There is also an Oahu pass you can buy and do things at a reduced rate which is what we are doing for some of the things and then doing our own thing for some of the days.

I've been to Hawaii twice and can't get enough of the islands! But it also depends on which islands you want to go to? Are you more rugged and enjoy outdoorsy activities? If so, Kauai is your place! Do you like the big city along with gorgeous beaches? Oahu is for you!

I'd go with Hawaii! But Costa Rica will be cheaper.

I've never been to Costa Rica, but I tell people all the time that Hawaii is somehow underrated, it's that amazing.

I want to hike and look for Birds! But also sit on my butt on the beach! I was thinking Maui only. I am just a bit scared of hiking on my own in Costa Rica...
