Having THAT Moment When Dress Shopping

Chelsea, on February 23, 2017 at 8:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

I've been dress shopping a few times and found a few dresses that I really liked. But I haven't had that moment where I think " This is definitely the one." Did you have that moment when you found your dress? I'm having a hard time committing without having that moment.

I did, but not everyone does. I cried, my BMs cried, my mom cried, we all knew it was the one. But other people on WW have said that the moment never happened and they still loved their dress!!! I think it's different for every person!

I didn't have a "omg, this is it" moment. I love my dress but I'm not one to feed into fairytale feelings and moments.

I liked everything I put on lol but it wasn't until I went with just my mom and I that I found "the one" it wasn't like an episode of Say yes to the dress but my face really lit up and I said "mom this is it" lol and she was like :/ haha

I didn't, but I didn't expect to either. I found a few I liked and one just kind of stayed in the front of my thoughts as my favorite so I got it. It's been almost a year and no real second guessing, I love it!!!!

I didn't have a big dramatic moment where I cried, but when I put on my dress I instantly loved it, whereas other ones I had to be talked into or liked but didn't love.

I didn't cry, and I put on a bunch of dresses and said "this is the one!" The dress I chose I just felt more strongly about saying "this is the one" when putting it on. I mean, in all reality, there is always going to be a dress you love more but you might never find it. It might be in a vintage thrift store in the middle of Germany. and you might only have 6 dress shops within a 25 mile radius from you. Just make sure you're excited about the dress, love it, and that you feel finished in your search.

You can love a dress and not have that dramatic Say Yes to the Dress moment that we've all been brainwashed into thinking we need. I love my dress, but I didn't have a big emotional moment. It doesn't happen for everybody.

Plus, you still have a good amount of time to find something you love. I wouldn't stress about it too much.

I didn't have one. I tried one on three times before I decided to pick it, and I love it. But both of my sisters refused to take their dresses off, whereas I couldn't wait to get out of wedding dresses and back into my jeans.

I had it. It was a strange moment. It was in the dressing room as I was getting zipped up and clipped in vs out in front of everyone.

I ended up buying the very first dress that I tried on. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I tried on a lot of other dresses at the same salon. At the end they had me choose my favorites and they asked me which one I like the best out of those three. I chose the first one, and when I put it on I knew that it was my dress. I didn't cry or anything but everything else just didn't seem right compared to this one. I even went to another appointment after that have another salon just to be sure and I talked about that dress the entire way there. I couldn't get that one off my mind, so I knew it was the one.

I didnt. I love love my dress, and I compared every other dress to it.. but i didnt cry or anything. I don't regret it at all! I think if you can't get it out of your head or compare others to it, that's your dress!

I loved my dress when I saw it hanging up, and fell in love when I tried it on. I did not cry--but I had a vision of walking down the aisle to my FH (as cheesy as that may sound). And I was all giddy and excited in it haha

I didn't, I mostly had strong "this is NOT my dress" moments. After a while I knew what I was looking for so when I found the dress it was more of a relief. One of my bridesmaids actually ordered her dress (3 sizes too small ::eye roll:Smiley smile and that happens to be my size so I tried it on and I had a better reaction.

I didn't. I actually picked my dress by saying "I think I want this one" and bam, got the dress.

I was never the bride type and didn't know what dress I wanted. Needless to say, I didn't cry or felt anything when I had the dress on. I love it more everyday and know that no other dress makes me feel this good but I didn't get to feel anything the day of.

I didn't. I just knew it was right when I said "I don't want to take this one off".

The first dress I decided on I didn't have the moment but my mind couldn't stop wondering so we went back and tried again. This time I tried on a different dress and my consultant looked at me and said OMG!!! YES!! Everyone in the bridal store ran around the corner to see why she yelled, lol. When I stepped out my mom started crying immediately, the whole store was standing there awwwwing me. I looked straight ahead in the mirror and I finally felt like a bride. It was quite a magical moment.

I'm not generally super emotional when it comes to things like a dress or movies or anything like that. However, I cried when I tried on the dress. My mom cried as well, which was totally unexpected. Everyone is different though. My dress ended up being almost the opposite of what I thought I wanted, but I can't stop thinking about how much I want to put it back on.

Nope. Not even close. I put it on and it had everything I'd been looking for so I bought it. I love my dress but in the end it's just a dress. I don't think I am the type to get emotional over a piece of clothing.
