Have more rsvp cards left than i should...

Madalena, on February 9, 2020 at 4:29 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
I am freaking out right now. I just finished my invitations and realized I have two extra invitations, but 7 extra RSVP cards. I feel like there is just no way I forgot to give 5 people RSVP cards. The envelopes are all sealed with wax seals and I just can't ruin all the envelopes. Does anyone know if minted gives extra of certain cards? Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I'm not sure, maybe contact their customer service. Try to feel around in the envelopes to see if you can feel the cards? Or shake them a little bit to see if you hear/feel anything moving around?

Generally most places give extra just in case. However, you can try freezing the envelopes you're unsure about. Supposedly the glue still works after you've opened them when they're frozen.

We got our save the dates from minted and they gave us extras. I doubt you forgot to put that many RSVP cards in with the invitations.

A lot of places will throw in a few extras in case of mistakes. It's probably fine, and if not, the recipient will most likely reach out I imagine.

If you have a food scale you could weigh them. If any are significantly light it could mean the RSVP wasn’t included.

I'd check with where you purchased your invitations and RSVP's from. Ask them how many they send. Most companies send a few extra RSVP's, invites and envelopes just in case of mistakes.

I made my own RSVP's but printed myself 10 extra in case I messed them up. I also freaked out after all of my invitations were addressed and labeled because I forgot how many extra I printed.
