Has anyone used craigslist for photographers and other vendors?

I was thinking it may be the cheaper way to go than to hire expensive vendors. I was looking through posts on cragislist and it seems like a great idea to cut costs! Has anyone done this?

@Meghan B. - I agree, most times it is ppl who are starting out and need the experience. I just so happen to take a chance and it worked out great for me. But every bride should do research no matter where the vendor is advertising. But I just feel that vendors on CL get a bad rep. At the end of the day , do your research, explore every avenue, and choose vendors that fit your wedding style and budget. I was lucky enough to find vendors on CL who are reputable and affordable. 8 more days! I am so ready!

Craigslist is just a way to expand advertising. Many people go to craigslist to find vendors, so why not post also. I offer my services on craigslist also. Thats where I get most of my clients. My wedding photography services start between $150-400 which includes an unlimited photos cd and 4x6 prints.
