Has anyone unsoldered their rings

Dena, on June 16, 2017 at 12:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

I had Robbins Brothers solder my rings together. My husband picked them up today and now not only is it too tight, but they didn't align the diamonds on the side of the ring OR the bands, which means one of the bands sticks out more than the other and doesn't sit flush. I called them and they said it was no big deal and that they could take them apart, but now I'm nervous because I feel like they'll just screw it up even more. Has anyone ever had their rings unsoldered before?

I had my e-ring unsoldered (it's a solitaire with an enhancer). You can't even tell that they were soldered at one point.

Thanks guys. My husband dropped them off and spoke with the customer service manager. She agreed that the rings were poorly soldered and should never have left the store. She said they'll look brand new again.

@LaGrosera that makes me feel better.

@FallBride yup I will definitely not be trying to solder them again.

I'm not soldering mine because I'm going to nursing school and can't wear my e-ring, but my jeweler did tell me to keep in mind that rings can be unsoldered. He said not a lot of people know that.
