Has anyone negotiated their wedding dress price

I'm just curious - has anyone asked for a discount or for the bridal shop to through in some freebees? I negotiate everything - even at TJ Maxx. I always ask for something... Is there some kind of etiquette with this?

I got 10% of my dress (sorta asked for it). I had previously tried my dress on at another store-it was a maggie sottero and in like 3 weeks that store was having a maggie trunk sale and they all maggies were going to be 10% off. but, I couldnt' wait 3 weeks to order, so they said they'd give me the discount anyways. When I was at the other store and tried the dress on there once I realized it was the dress, they asked if I was going to buy it and my dad told them the truth-that another store was gonna give us 10% off. So they offered to match it and gave us the discount too.

My Aunt got found this place in Lousisian its called Pearls Place its been on Oprah too they sell all the designer dress but for a butt load off.. I Found my DREAM dress at Alfred Angelo for $850 Pearls has it for $500 Id find the dress then call them and see how much it is there, they do shipping too. Google them its totally worth cheaking out

You know how many times I walk into Macy's and ask for 10% off and GET IT!!!! I would say I ask about every fourth time I'm in there and get it at least every other time. =) Usually there is a make-up stain or something on the dress and the sales clerk is able to give a discount. Thanks for the encouragement about dress shopping. =)
