Has anyone had their dress repaired before preserving?

I would like to preserve my dress but would like a couple repairs done. There’s a whole in my train and loose lace from when someone stepped on it. I see companies that offer all the service but how do you know they even repaired it when they box it up? I imagine it would be hard to put together if you unbox it which defeats the purpose.


I know it’s unlikely but I would like to think I would still fit it for a vow renewal one day or if I ever have a daughter and she wants to wear it.
