Has anyone had 2 different centerpieces?

FutureMrs2017, on March 21, 2017 at 8:55 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

So, my FH and I met with our coordinator/decorator yesterday and we began discussing centerpiece ideas. We like the idea of medium to high floral centerpieces, but also a candelabra style centerpiece with just a few flowers laid on the table. So, I was wondering if anyone has done 2 different centerpieces and alternated them on the tables at the reception? We plan to have roughly 25 round tables at our reception.

Yep! That's what we're doing. Half will be tall, half will be short.

I have been to a wedding with multiple centerpieces and I thought it was too much. I think the 2 you're thinking of would look great! Just make sure the candelabra is sturdy and not top heavy. The table we were at kept wobbling if we slightly bumped the table.

We haven't chosen centerpieces yet but I've heard a lot about alternating different ones, such as high and low styles to give a different effect. I think that's what we're leaning towards doing too since in the few pictures I've seen, it looks great!

Yes that's exactly what we're doing, we actually have more then just two. We have 5 center round tables. The two rounds that "center" the head table will be talls. The others will be candelabras. Then our family style tables will have the greenery garland with some small floral centerpieces arranged every other table. It's confusing BUT my wedding planner is amazing & the florist she works with knows exactly what she's doing so I'm confident that it'll look great since they've done hundreds of weddings together lol.

We are having two different centerpieces. One low flower centerpiece. One submerged orchid in case with floating candle centerpiece

I like the idea of multiple centerpieces unless you are planning on the uniform look.

I am doing a wide variety of centerpieces. Mine is in the fall so I am doing carved pumpkins, flowers in mason jars, flowers inside the pumpkins and lanterns. There is nothing wrong with having more than one centerpiece.

My florist recommended doing two different centerpieces. We're doing one low floral centerpiece with votives around it, and one with a large pillar candle on a mercury glass holder with three small vases with flowers around it.

All of my centerpieces will be lanterns filled with a succulent garden and tea lights, but I bought several different kinds of lanterns in varying sizes and colors. I'll be using different colors of wide ribbon for bows on the tops, but using a skinny ribbon in our wedding color (emerald) to accent all of the pieces to create some continuity.
