Has anyone gotten married on a boat through the glaciers/mountains of Alaska?

We're looking at Kenai Fjords Tours or another dinner cruise type vessel. I'm thinking a wedding/dinner cruise, with the ceremony being on the boat as we pass glaciers or mountains, etc... But I'm not sure if that's a good idea, and how much space we would be able to have. I also worry that we'll conflict with all of the cruise tours which will be going on during the summer time. Anybody have any experience either attending or doing a similar wedding? Would you recommend it?

Hi Ann, welcome to the WeddingWire community! I haven't personally attended one but my aunt has been to a wedding in Alaska and said it was beautiful! It was on an actual Alaska cruise ship for a couple of days all around, but said it was a great time! For the smaller, shorter trips I would just recommend making a guest list and seeing what type of ships can accommodate that. If you book it far enough in advance I don't think you'll run into the issue of conflicting tours. Are you planning to do a day or night cruise?

Not sure if this is too late, but I'm getting married in Seward, Alaska June 7, 2019 and we're doing it on a boat in Resurrection Bay! So we'll be around mountains, glaciers, etc as we get married with our closest friends and family there. Then we can hang out for a while on the boat with some snacks/drinks before heading back to shore where we'll have some grills lit for all our friends/family to come celebrate with us. So I think your idea is amazing, and hopefully you found a way to do it!
