Has anyone done a "Scrapbook" guest book!?!

Candy, on June 19, 2013 at 3:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

I'm 11 days from my wedding and I don have a guest book!!! Eek! I was planning on having a canvas that people could sign, but my computer so I don't have the pic and FSIL who took the pics doesn't have them anymore either....

So my question is, has anyone done the "scrapbook" idea? Where guests just sign slips of paper and then your put it all together later with pics (not with a photo booth just pics from the photographer). I think I've also heard some say they were going to add cards they recieved to it.

If you have any pics of one, or any experience or tips with doing this, please share!!! I have got to figure something out ASAP!

I think it's a good idea! But I haven't decided on what to do for ours yet, it's still a long time away. Smiley winking

I'm not sure if this is what your thinking about but I'll post a pic of what I did :-) I used a regular scrap book and then used scrap book paper to glue the ovals on to. I used blue and purple because those are our colors. The ovals are for people to sign. then later on we are going to take a picture of them at the wedding and put it in the space next to their name :-) Btw the picture on the front of the scrap book is one that came with the book we'll put a picture of us in it after the wedding. Idk if you can see it but the front of the book says march 30, 2014 in "bling" lettering

I plan on printing my adaption of these on cardstock ivory paper, and cutting them down with a paper cutter I got at Michaels. After they're filled out, I'll add them to a photo album. I ordered the page protectors on amazon.

But - since you don't have a computer...

How about providing 12x12 card stock or paper (buy one of those huge sets michaels has), and provide gel pens. Let your guests fill out an entire page with whatever they want, and put it in a scrap book. My cousin did this at her wedding a few years ago and I think it was cute!

    @ F Mrs P I love the printout that's super cute!

I don't think I can handle letting people do an entire page...I know it's crazy but I am SUPER OCD about these things and it would drive me nuts having any control over how it looked!!

I'm thinking about getting a set of paper that matches and cutting pieces into maybe 4x6 rectangles and folding them like a card. Then the guests can write on the blank inside and I can glue the "cards" which will be patterned on the outside in the pages with pictures.

Do y'all think that would work well?

I did a scrapbook for my daughter and son in law, as their 1st Christmas gift. It was filled with wedding and pre-wedding event pages.

I did three pages that were the actual guest book. They will look at that, far more often than a traditional guest book, that would have been packed away.

I am doing a scrapbook. I bought 100 photo backers, which i am going to glue to the back of some white advice cards with some printed prompts on them, and then glue the back of the photo backer to the scrapbook page. Since only two of them will fit on a 12x12 page, i am going to have someone stand next to the guest book table and take a photo of each person or couple who signs it. ill put their photo next to their advice card. Then ill fill the rest of the pages with memories, wedding photos, and cards we receive.
