Has anyone covered a pool for a dance floor in NC?

Hi All,

I am planning a destination wedding on the crystal coast. I've rented a house for the reception but the pool takes up alot of the space. So I am wondering if anyone has covered their pool or rented a plexiglass pool cover for extra reception space in the area. Who did you rent from? How much did it cost? Where there capacity issues? etc. Thanks!

In HI, I contemplated it and just started calling a bunch of party rental places to find one. It was about $2k to do it. Unfortunately that wasnʻt in our budget so we just put a gobo light on it but I would have loved to been able to do that.

Did you know the specs of the pool? Iv did a quick search and it doesn't seem like there are alot in my area. The two I found wanted specs before giving a price. I also haven't even asked the rental company if this is allowed. Wanted to see if I could afford it first.

We've had this, not in NJ; it's expensive. Unless you're REALLY squeezed for space, I wouldn't do it.
