Harvest Tables?

Ebony, on July 30, 2014 at 9:36 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Is there anyone else going for a dinner party/family style table layout?

My tables will be two 8' tables put end to end. This way it's easier for people to sit together and actually had more room left over.

I wish I could have...they didn't have enough of those type of tables for my wedding. so I just get one long harvest tables and the rest are circle tables.

Northern MN you referred to them as harvest tables.... I like that name vs saying banquet tables. Goes even more with my fall theme

@ Ebony yeah I guess I don't think of them as banquet tables as much because I imagine them in long lines (very community oriented). Smiley smile

I'm doing exactly that! I saw it on a reality tv wedding many years ago and dreamed of it ever since. It's one of my must haves! I want my wedding to feel like a family dinner. Since we'll have 90-100 guests, ill have either 3 or 4 long tables. If it had been a smaller reception I'd try to keep it as only one long table. We also thought of doing family style food but worried it'd get too messy. We are doing plated instead.

We often set up this style just for the bridal party and their significant other. It becomes a very special table, and everyone who sits at this table has great fun. We call them harvest tables or King Arthur tables.

I've seen these at a lot of my barn/rustic venues. Cute.

We did a King's table for our head table. Similar style to this. It was a great way to do a head table. Better than a traditional style...conversation was much easier and the decor options down the middle of the table are endless.
