Hard rock first dance songs

My fiance and I both love hard rock/metal and would like that to be represented in our first dance song. Any thoughts on using All That Remains, "what if I was nothing"

It is very much us, but not sure how it would be perceived by others!

This is probably older than you are looking for, but I went to a wedding where the 1st dance song was 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metalica

That's a pretty benign song for 'rock'- I say go for it.

A friend of mine from high school wanted to use "What Is and What Should Never Be" by Led Zeppelin. Her parents intervened and she chose a tamer song. Probably for the best.

Irrelevant fact (or not?): she is divorced now.

DH and I danced to the acoustic version of Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) by Deftones because it was still sounded pretty but made us giggle. In a similar fashion, I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Black No. 1 by Type O Negative. There are so many "pretty" metal songs. Tons of Machinehead, Tool, Trivium, Slipknot, In Flames, and various other Type O songs. If you don't need it to be pretty, you could do "This Love" by Pantera or some Helloween.

I wish I had slipped some Fleshgod Apocolypse in there somewhere, but figured I had already stretched the graciousness of my guests with Whitechapel and Lamb of God. \m/
