I can't believe that I am 40 days away from my wedding! It feels like my fiance and I just got engaged. Where did the time go?

I'm most looking forward to our ceremony, short and sweet, but I can't wait to call my fiance my husband! I'm also looking forward to seeing all of our friends and family together.

We're still in the process of collecting rsvps; our due date is the 10th. We still have a good amount of people who still need to send theirs back so hopefully there's a big surge in the mail this week. Other than that, we're just finalizing all of the small details and logistics of the day.

On Friday, we're getting our marriage license and I'm going to the seamstress to have my dress altered! It's starting to feel more and more real as the big day gets closer!

34 days here!! Today is our RSVP deadline, and we’ve actually done very well, just have a few families to track down. We need to get our tablecloths washed and folded and need to write our vows, along with lots of little small things. I go for my second dress fitting on Wednesday. It’s coming so so so fast!

Oh my goodness we are date twins and have the same RSVP! We actually have a lot of folks between now and the 10th that we’ll need to hear back from so tracking them down after I get back next week from a work trip. It’s crazy how fast time has moved once we got under 100 days! Besides marrying my best friend and very excited to see our family and friends; we’ve done most of our final meetings, just a few left with the florist and a few others this week - so many final payments due this month, definitely makes it all real 💰

47 days for us! Aahhh! Finishing up some DIY projects and a few other little things and we're good to go. I can't believe it is so close already! I think I'm most looking forward to it being over with. Lol So much drama and stress has been surrounding the whole process so it will be nice to be married and done with it. I'm not generally an emotional person and yet I can't stop feeling very emotional lately and I'm just so ready to finally become a Mrs.!

38 days for us!!! We are still getting rsvps, due date is the 22nd, but already have over 80 back and all yes! I still need to add ribbon to the bouquets, paint the card box, make the handfasting ribbons, escort cards, table numbers, buy a guest book/canvas, pick up my dress August 2nd, get the marriage license and a few other little things. I'm teaching summer school for 3 weeks starting next week but it's only 4 hrs a day, so these will be my little projects for the afternoons/evenings. All the big stuff is taken care of!!

I am most looking forward to the ceremony. We created a very unique ceremony with our officiant that is 100% US. I'm so excited about it!! (Also, I get to walk down this gorgeous red carpeted staircase at my ceremony venue, pretty excited about that as well!). And of course celebrating with our friends and families. 😊😊😊😊

Yay so close, Michelle! I’m sorry to hear it’s been a bit less than the best, that makes it hard i bet! Thinking of you and hoping that the final days go fast and with good peace of mind, sometimes that’s hard to keep during these times!

Becca!! Yay so so close and you’ve got everything wrapped up, that’s impressive! Any ideas for hashtags so far? We had such a struggle coming up with ours as well and settled for #gettingmitched since our new last name will be Mitchell... not particularly clever but it works 🤷🏾‍♀️

37 days until 8/8/19!!! We’re needing to get our cake done in the next week or two, finalize centerpieces and do a dry run, get the rest of our engagement photos taken, and write our vows and get the marriage license!! Our engagement will have been 4 months and 1 week from the day he proposed to the day we are getting married. I woke up today and was like HOLY MOLY IT IS NEXT MONTH!!
    Cheers to us, ladies! 🥂

August bride here 🙋🏻‍♀️ The very last day of August, but I cannnnot wait!! The first thing I did this morning was shout “Omg can you believe our wedding is next month!!!”
I have my next fitting in 2 weeks! Still have to come up with a wedding playlist! My FH wanted to be in charge of music so I let him, but he still hasn’t thought of anything. Other than that, just small things left!

We’re August 9, it’s crazy how fast it’s going! Still feel like there are so many little things to do. I’m most excited to see it all come together, finally after 9 years call him my husband!!! And I have a lot of family coming from the US who have never been to Australia before so I’m excited to show off our home.

I still need to finish up some DIYs, place cards, welcome bags. Oh and we haven’t picked ANY of our music yet! Just to make things more fun, fiancé is leaving for China this morning for work and will be back Thursday night. We’re meeting with our photographer on Friday. He also has to visit the US and New Zealand before the wedding. I’m not freaking out at all, nope nope nope. Hahah!

Oh my gosh, Frankie19, totally relate to all your comments about just a tiny bit of freaking 😂 with lots of things to do but I’m sure you and your partner have got this!! I say this as I’m in Tanzania for one last work trip for two more weeks and with 39 days to go, trying to finalize florals and answer RSVP questions on a 7hr time difference... I think i was assuming that everyone would just RSVP nicely and my floral decisions would be done by now... whoops! My partner is very kind for handling the rest of the final vendor checkins! It sounds so exciting to have family coming from all over, literally the globe, for your wedding so incredibly awesome but I’m sure also requires a bit of coordination too! Oh and if you care to share any welcome bag ideas with us... I’m realizing we haven’t finished ours as well now that you mention it! 🙃

Thanks Leah! Thankfully, my older sister got married in 5.5 months a couple of years back so my family was somewhat prepared haha

53 days and now that I write that I might panic.

SO MUCH TO DO. We haven't done a heck of a lot this week, because we've been dealing with my family drama (...I'm the *youngest* in my generation, and yet I'm the one behaving like an adult around here).

That said, we did make a decision about how to do the centerpieces, I have some ideas for ceremony music, we've been rehearsing our swordfight skit, and we're making progress on wedding shower thank yous. Also, I think I'm about to book our transportation, so that should be one more checkmark.

    Ooooof.

We are having a dj with a live percussionist which we’re super excited about! We’re having Albanian, Lebanese and American music being played so dj was definitely the easiest route!

Oh wow! I was just talking to someone yesterday about how it’s lucky I’M not the one whose traveling. Fortunately it sounds like you’re a good team, glad your partner is stepping up!

For welcome bags I’m just using plain white bags I bought at a craft store and then made a sticker on zazzle that says “welcome” and has two kangaroos with “speech bubbles” that have a ring and a bride and groom in them.

So far I plan to include: eucalyptus candy, Vegemite flavoured crackers, paw paw ointment (I generally use it for lip balm but it also works for burns, cuts, diaper rash), “Australian” hangover kits (Panadol and Berocca), a selection of mini Australian chocolate bars and tea bags of a tea called eastern sunrise. Might throw in some chicken salt chips or another savoury snack as well. My cousin is bringing her four kids, so in the bag for her family I’ve included kinder surprise eggs with Aussie animal toys, coloured pencils, notebooks, glitter pens and cute shaped erasers.
