Hanging up wedding veil to smooth wrinkles in tiny apt

GPR, on July 27, 2016 at 9:48 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Where do I hang up my wedding veil? It is cathedral length and I live in a small apt in NYC. I am one month away from getting married. Any suggestions would help. Thank you!

Do you have a relative's or friends house you could use? We hung mine up at my parents house because we also lived in a small apartment.

Maybe even hang it up at work if there is a private space to do so! and of course tell co-workers/management. they might be understanding!

I have a similar issue. I have the space for it, but I've seen my cats' eyes light up like fourth of July fireworks when I pulled it out of the bag.

    Try a relative's or friend's house maybe?

Do you have a steamer? If you do, just steam it.

If you don't, just put it in the bathroom (opposite end of the shower) when the shower is on super hot, for like 10 minutes or so.

My mom hung my dress from the ceiling fan in one of the spare rooms in her house. I don't know if you have something like that or something near the ceiling to hang it from.

Hang it in your bathroom while you shower. usually gets most of the wrinkles out.

Otherwise- I hang my silk veils up and spritze/mist them with water and let them dry out- gets the wrinkles out pretty quickly.

Thank you for the suggestions! I do have a steamer at home, a handheld one. I will use that and see if it works.
