Handing out vs. mailing

Did any of you hand deliver STDs or invites? I invited 5 co workers to the wedding and I currently have all my STDs with me at work. I really just wanna hand them theirs since they are all sitting less than 25 feet from me. What do you think?

I think it's fine to hand deliver them as long as you're tactful about it. As an example, a coworker of mine is getting married in July. We're shift workers so one of the girls she is inviting doesn't work the same shifts as her so they don't cross paths at work. Well, the bride just decided to leave her invite in the break room on top of a pile of papers that our manager leaves for us (with shift swap requests, vacation requests and our memos). I found that to be rude since it makes it very obvious who you are and aren't inviting at work.

I'm only inviting 3 people from work and am undecided on whether I will mail or hand deliver, but I definitely won't be making it obvious to everyone else that they aren't invited.

For people I saw ALL THE TIME I saved a stamp and just handed it to them. It seemed kind of silly to mail them to people that I knew i was going to see. (Especially since the post office LOST a lot of my invitations.)

Hand them out, but keep it discreet not to cause drama or hurt feelings with those who aren't invited.

What are you going to do, Mrs. Pope? After reading all the opinions, I'm not sure myself.

I mailed all of mine. I love getting stuff in the mail that isn't bills or pre-approved credit card offers haha. So I figured people would enjoy getting it in the mail rather than hand deliver. But to each their own - I was hand delivered an invite by a co-worker and it was fine.

I mailed all my save the dates. We (MOH and I) put them together at work and then took them to the post office downtown to mail. Including the 17 people from work who got one. Including hers. And including my child who lives in my home. I think postage was $35 or so for all 65. Something along those lines.

I mailed STDs to everyone I had on the guest list. My FH is failing miserably on his side of the guest list. He opted to hand deliver his. The invitations will be mailed out. ALL off them.

I tried to mail everything as I think that is the way it should be done however I have a friend who doesn't know how much longer he will be at his current house so I instead am hand delivering his.

We handed out some STDs and we'll do the same with invitations for anyone we'll see in person. Doesn't make sense to mail something to someone you see frequently.

SO relieved that a lot of you are hand delivering. I see a ton of my guests weekly especially my BP, my parents, etc. So. If I don't have to pay up to a buck to send it, I can use that money elsewhere!

And @MrsCheapskate, we're doing that too for our OOT guests. Not spending 150+ when 95% of our guests live close to the venue.

I just think its rude to hand deliver....trust me, we all know how much postage is, especially when mailing out the amount of things that we are...but most people wont look at the big picture and think that they weren't good enough to spend the $0.49 on (as most wont realize that the postage is probably more).
