@Jessica B ..thanks! The ends are just a Nordic/Celtic style wolf. I'm a cat person, he's a wolf person but we have cats elsewhere in the wedding so I thought to incorporate the wold here. The middle is a Vegvisir, the Nordic Compass. Early on I'd send this symbol to him saying no matter where we are or how far a part the Vegvisir will lead us home (home being each other).

That's really pretty. Some of my couples have gotten braided cords from Etsy; others have used wide tartan ribbons, strips of brocade; one used a strip of her mother's wedding gown material too.
