Hand sanitizer and Masks?

Heather, on July 23, 2020 at 3:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 13
Recently we’ve decided that our favors are going to be small bottles of sanitizers but I was wondering if anyone else is doing this and if so are you buying pre filled smaller bottles or buying empty bottles and filling them yourself?

We’ve also been contemplating supplying masks at the front door of the ceremony or reception to those who would like them. Is anyone else doing this as well? If so how are you going about that?

I’ve been seeing brides on here say they’re able to get the small hand sanitizers at bath and body works!

We are not doing hand sanitizer favors, but are supplying them for use at the small dinner, as well as gloves.
Masks at the door sound like a good plan, especially if someone forgot theirs at home!

We are not giving individual plastic bottles of hand sanitizer because my guess is most people will throw them away when they are empty and we don’t want to create extra trash. We will have several large pump bottles available throughout the reception area for guests.
We will also have several reusable masks on hand for guests to take if they need or want one. I already had the fabric, so it is just a matter of cutting out the pattern and sewing them. I looked at disposable masks, but aside from the prices, it’s just more trash. Masks are mandatory in CO anyways, so I’m guessing most everyone will bring one.

I plan on doing the same. You can order small pre-filled bottles from amazon (1 or 2 oz) and get a sticker designed to use as a label. Ours turned out perfect! You’ll need to stalk amazon for hand sanitizer though.. it’s still limited supply. I got lucky and bought 2 cases of germ-x sanitizer. Price wasn’t too bad. I think it’s a smart party favor right now! 😉 good luck!!

People who WANT* to wear masks, will almost certainly arrive wearing them, but it's a good idea to require, or at least encourage, people to wear them for the sake of everyone else.
I made masks for all of our (mini-wedding) guests and we're going to give a little box either to each person or to each household that has a reusable mask and a bottle of hand sanitizer. The box will also provide a place for people to put their masks while they're eating.

Bath and body works sells 5 mini bottles for $8, but I don't know how strongly scented they are. I want to buy pre-filled bottles instead of filling my own because any bottles you buy will not be sterile and (I realize the sanitizer would probably kill anything that was on them, but) I'm being a little bit paranoid about germs right now. If I don't like the B&BW sanitizer, I'll just go to every CVS/Walgreens/Target I can find and buy what they have until I get enough.

We plan on providing hand sanitizer as the wedding favors as well as having big jugs of it at the church and venue entrance and will also provide masks! I found disposable masks very affordably at Amazon

I got the minis from BBW for my bridal shower! It ended up being too expensive for our wedding with the number of guests we have, but I thought the feminine scents would be extra cute and worth the splurge for the shower Smiley smile Every scent was in stock when I looked as well!

I bought a bunch from costco of hand sanitizer. I haven't gotten masks yet. I guess I am waiting till the end of the month to inquire who will come since I live in hot spot and my wedding is in november so i still have some time.

We'll be supplying both. If I were a guest and I got hand sanitizer as a favor, I would be ecstatic. That stuff is a hot commodity right now! And you can use it all night. Need to go to the bathroom? We got you covered. Just touched the pen someone else did? Sanitize those hands! Who wouldn't want hand sanitizer, I mean, right?? Smiley smile

I ordered pre-filled ones from etsy, which looking back, was not the smartest choice (financially) but it was quick and efficient. It came with custom labels, as well. And it is the spray bottle kind, which I think adds an extra layer of pizzazz. I should have enough left over to send or give to those who we've had to uninvite, as a way to say "sorry, but here's a parting gift".

I also plan to have a basket at the front entrance, near the guestbook table, with masks - the surgical, less expensive kind in two colors: black and white. Each one will be individually bagged (I'll wear gloves before doing this of course). This is mainly to set the tone of the event and imply that mask wearing is preferred, as well as cleaning their hands.

I will have "sanitation stations" set up throughout the venue with large bottles of hand sanitizer available. It's going to fun - and oh so sterile!
