Has anyone done a hand fastening ceremony? I am very interested, I found the perfect ceremony for the Officiant to read but I don't know how to tie the knots. Some are just wrapped around than then removed, I would like a cute knot to be able to display somewhere. Just hoping someone on here did and can recommend a good website or video, I haven't had much luck finding it on my own.

Have you spoken to your officiant about this? Ours offered lots of various traditions including this, if we'd wanted it I understand that she would have been the one to provide us with any info we might need

My two cousins are both ordained and I thought it would be nice if one of them read the script and the other did the binding, they are not familiar with it.

We are hopefully having a hand fasting ceremony - just waiting on my bff to respond. Our officiant is actually the one who suggested it, as I had asked how my bff (who is a Justice of the Peace in NH) could participate, since Florida law won't let her (bff) actually marry us. Our Officiant provided the script and details to her ... sorry. I could ask her to share if you still need help!

We are doing a hand fasting at our wedding and my mother in law is going to do it after she gives a blessing.
We looked it up on YouTube to find the right style.

Etsy has beautiful cords for hand fasting and they are is many different price ranges and with colors to match your scheme. Maybe start there. Maybe YouTube csn hel with instructions. My fiance is of Irish and Scottish descent. Since I'm not aware of my heritage, I will honor his with this ceremony as well. Hope you have a wonderful ceremony. Congratulations!!
