Hand Canceling

Gabby, on August 19, 2021 at 4:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
Did anyone with a wax seal on their envelopes not do hand canceling and they turned out okay? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the cost. I also saw that they don't always do it at the post office but just say they're going to.

All mail goes through a number of machines after they are passed to the counter clerk that you have no way to prevent. I don’t know how well a wax seal on the outside will hold up and may add to the postage costs.

I did wax seals for my save the dates, but they all got ruined in the mail Smiley sad They were all scraped off and you couldn't even tell what the design was. I was devastated because I spent so long adding the seals to each envelope and they looked so good before going through the mail.
