Hand-addressing Save the Date Envelopes

Megan, on April 18, 2020 at 8:55 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 10

Hi all! I hope everyone is doing well! I’m sending love and positive vibes to everyone who’s been impacted by everything that’s going on. 💕🌈

We are proceeding as normal; our date is November 21, 2020.
Our Save the Dates came in the mail the other day! I’m so excited for them, as I designed them myself!

I designed them on Canva. We got our cards & envelopes through Vistaprint. They have free return addressing but no “to” addressing, which is where the hand lettering comes in.
Our guest list is 150ish but we only have 80 cards to send, so I decided to take on the task of hand addressing them. (I enjoy graphic design & lettering, so this isn’t new to me.) I know it’s not perfect but I think it’s a nice touch. What do you all think?

I’m writing out the “please deliver to” first and then going back and filling in the names and addresses with a plain font.
Anyone else hand writing theirs? I figured, I have the time now... lol

I absolutely love it. They came out great. I personally don't have the patience or creativity to handwrite them but yours are coming out beautifully. Great personal touch.

Aw, thank you so much! (You haven’t seen the address part yet, though 😂)
Do you have any tips for getting through it? Did you use special pens? I just used a nice marker that I liked. Lol

I used calligraphy pens and address stencils, to keep everything straight.

I was a nervous wreck! Ha ha. It took me a few days to get them all finished, and I only have 50 guests.
My invitations are due to go out the 24th, I need to get busySmiley smile
I did calligraphy when I was younger, by no mean an expert. Better than my normal handwriting at least.
Yours look beautiful! I'd hire you to do mine, if you lived near by! Great job!💜Please share again when you get a finished envelope. So fancy, I love it!!!!

LOL! I'm sure they will. They'd be crazy not to.
