Where are you located? Non-traditional venues will be less expensive- city parks, national/state parks, community centers, etc. You can bring the Halloween vibe easily through decor. Figure out your budget and guest list so you know an approx. number, and go from there.

What about at a brewery or restaurant? It may already be decorated with a fall theme!

Haunted hotel or old museum/B&B? Rates will be a lot cheaper for a weekday night or brunch.

Exactly. We can help more if we know where you're looking! Of course, keeping in mind that the only true, sure-shot way to keep a wedding cost down is to keep the guest list small Smiley smile

I'm in the saluda hendersonville area of North Carolina. There is going to be around 150-200 people.

What’s your budget? I don’t think you’re going to be able to do anything for 150-200 people that won’t cost much.

Maybe you can find a lounge ! I feel like something with a darker ambience would be really nice

Anywhere that I can bring my own decorations would be nice because we have a lot from Halloween last year

Another option not mentioned are art galleries. Some will rent the venue for events, without separate wedding pricing. If you go with a quirky art gallery, then the art itself becomes a part of your decor. We rented our space for $100/per hour.

It really is! If you go that way, you need to consider a few different things... You need to research it differently. The best way is to look up art galleries and then look at each individual site for event info. If they don't have any, you might need to contact them individually.

Also, remember they might not have the room for full catering. We did a food truck (served buffet style inside the venue but all food cooked on the truck).

We are getting married October 30th 2020 and my venue is a hotel. We are doing our decor and everything in a theme that’s both elegant but also dark for Halloween.

I went to one Oct. 2018 and it was unique and beautiful! It was at a FOP lodge for low cost.
