Half our wedding party (including my fiancé and I) live on the other side of the country as our venue. How many of them should we be flying out?

We have a venue in Vermont because we got an incredible, unbeatable deal ($400 for the entire weekend and lodging for 20 people included). We were initially long distance, and this venue was 45 mins away from me. Well, now I’m moving out to Oregon to be with my fiancé. Even with the cost of flights for a few people, we will still never be able to beat this deal.

Flights will be less than $200 round trip each if booked more than 3 weeks in advance. Obviously, we need to fly ourselves out. Should we also be flying out the MOH, best man, and other wedding party members who live in Oregon?

You don't have to but if it's important for you to have them present I would ask them if they're buying tickets and if the purchase will be a problem. It's best to cover your bases.

I mean you can, but I don't think you have to if that makes sense. If you flew them out I'd make that part of their gift.

Wow.. That is an amazing deal! I think if you can afford to gift it to them out would be really nice but maybe not necessary? Have you talked to them about it?

That's super sweet to offer to pay for your bridal party to fly out but I don't think you should feel pressured to. I agree it would be a great gesture though.

I personally dont think you're obligated to arrange anybody else's transportation. It's one of those costs that is expected when you agree to be in someone's party.
However, if you can afford it and want to pay for it then I'm sure it would be sincerely appreciated.

I don’t think you’re obligated to fly people out, especially if I’m understanding correctly that their lodging is included with what you paid for the venue.

I haven’t talked to them yet, but one definitely would need her ticket bought and I’m not sure if the other one is even going. Everyone else is kinda secondary

If you can afford it, then yes I think it would be great.
