I have very thin hair. Thinking about an updo makes me nervous...my hair doesn’t hold very well and I hated my updo for high school prom (I didn’t feel feminine). I’m looking for inspiration pictures or ideas on just below the shoulder length, straight thin hair. At this point I’m happy just having it blow dried professional, but then I wonder how to attach my veil. Any suggestions?

How do you feel about clip in extensions for volume?

Dont even worry about your thickness. You actually can get hair pieces or extensions. Just some clip ins can change your whole look. Chose your style then add hair. Best wishes.

I have thin hair too, I’m planning to just get it cut a week or two before the wedding so the ends are nice and clean then doing soft curls. Maybe pinning some hair back to help with the veil?
I honestly hadn’t thought of clip ins- I’m pretty down to earth so idk if I would like those, but anyways here’s some pics of my ideas. Good luck!!

Thank you! Clip ins are not something I want. I wouldn’t feel like me. I like the ideas of the soft waves.

You can have some parts teased, filled with bump-comb, or have it curled to 1” and brush it out. With a hair down usually the styler will tie 2 small hair parts and use the hair tie to attach the veil comb.

To address the part about attaching a veil: I wore my hair completely down for my wedding and my hairstylist tied a tiny section of my hair back with a clear rubber band to secure the comb of the veil. then I took that out when I took my veil off for the reception!

I have thin hair and I also do not like the way my hair looks in updos. I’m planning on having a soft curl look like this with some pieces pinned up. I’m definitely doing a trial beforehand because my hair does not hold curls well so I’m not sure how this style will hold up.Hairstyles 6
