Help! I'm torn between wearing my hair half down or up with my dress. I have always imagined I would have my hair down or a half up style for my wedding. My dress however has a very beautiful beaded strap detail in the back that I am worried will just be covered up with my hair. My hair is thick and comes to about mid back. (just like the half up picture) The wedding will be late August and is an outside ceremony, there should be little humidity since it will be in WI. I do not like the side braids/pony tails. Attached is the front and back of my dress with the two hairstyles I am thinking about!Hairstyles 1

    The second one will help show the detail on the dress best. I had the same situation and went with a style like your second picture so that it was up but had loose strands at the end of the bun to make it look sort of down. I really loved it with my whole look 😊

    I think the updo will be better just so you don't have hair get all sweaty and stick to the back of your neck.

    Originally I wanted half up half down, but also like the detail on the back of my dress and plan on doing a low bun style.

    I had a similar back to my dress and I was originally only going to have an updo, but my hairstylist (and friend) suggested doing it down for the pics and ceremony and then when we were having a moment during cocktail hour, she'd put it up for the reception. So here's what it looked like for both.
