Hairstyle suggestions

Amanda, on July 21, 2022 at 5:19 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 11
Hey y’all!

I am getting married in September. I have zero idea on what I want to do with my hair. My hair is long-ish, it’s down to the middle of my back. it’s tricky though, because I have a section of hair in the back that is extremely short and nearly bald from several surgeries. That’s why half up and half down won’t work. I was thinking of just doing a braid with a greenery and baby breath crown but wasn’t sure.
You can find my dress here:Message Content https://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_beaded-sheath-v-neck-dress-with-godets-ap2e205240

I’ll give you bonus points if you can describe your hairstyle suggestion in words. I am blind, so that’s why this decision is so difficult for me. Any help is amazing as always and thank you so much! 💕😘😊🤗

Have you considered using extensions? My hair isn't very full and that's what I'm planning on doing. You just might want to test it out and make sure to get extensions that are made with real human hair. I'm having my hair pinned to the side with curls on my let shoulder and I'm also going to wear a flower crown. This way you can see the back of the dress. If you want to incorporate the braid, I've seen a look where there is braid on the side that's pinned back. But I really like the idea of the braid though!

Thanks! I shopped for my dress by texture! I wanted to be able to feel my dress. I just wish picking a hairstyle was as easy! lol

I am having my hair in a half up half down style but it could easily be changed to fully up....divide your hair into 3 equal sections and braid them. Then roll each one up individually and lay the roll flat against the back of your head. In the center of each roll have a pin/diamond/etc. The rolled braids should look like flowers. Hope that makes sense!

I love your dress! Very Art Deco! If you want it mostly down, I’ve seen styles where they take only the strands toward the front and work those into a braid crown that sits at the back! You can even flowers into the braid crown too.

I thought about extensions but I wasn't sure when they needed to be done, and I didn't want to do something complicated with the stylist since she's a destination wedding ghair stylist. I think I want an up do, but I really like simple. lol

I'm not sure if I really want it down per say, just out of my face since we are getting married on the beach. I think if I did do an up do, it's got to be all or nothing.

Thanks for the compliment on my dress! I don't have a real idea about the visual aspect of it, but I loved the texture and the feel of the beading.

I have not, but that’s because they usually aren’t very descriptive on what the picture is showing me. I cannot see the pictures so I don’t get an idea of what it is they are doing.
