Hairstyle for bateau neckline

Hey everyone!

Just became a member of WeddingWire- these forums are crazy helpful!

How are those of you with a bateau neckline for your dress planning to wear your hair? It seems like an up-do would be best suited to a bateau neckline since it does emphasize the neck, but I would also like to have a softer look...my dress is a ball gown, but I want my hair to be relaxed, soft, and not too harsh. Not sure what would be best. Here's a pic of me in my dress if it helps (it's a little more poofy than it will be after alterations- and it's bustled in this pic). Thanks in advance!

I'm doing a low and loose updo. Here are a picture of my hair trial and one of my dress. It's an illusion neckline but the same shape as yours. I also am probably getting rid of the braid on the hair.

Thanks guys! I was thinking something along those lines...loose updo, maybe even more loose than that with some hair tendrils hanging? Plus, my hair is pretty fine so I'm thinking it'll look like I have more if it's not against my head, lol

I think the way your hair is in the picture is perfect! haha. Loose bun, with some pieces hanging around your face.
