Hair up or down with my dress??

Jennifer, on July 13, 2021 at 11:13 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Hi all! Hoping you could give me your opinion on hairstyle for my October wedding? Here's me in my dress. I have extensions in so keep that in mind.

Since we're getting married outside, surrounded by nature, and because I'm a hippie at heart, I was thinking about a flower crown (and just ordered a mid-length veil!)?! Thanks! XO

I think doing a flower crown will take away from all the details that you have on your dress. My opinion on hairstyle is to do a low styled updo.

Thanks so much. Yes, the dress is very busy.

I love flower crowns but agree it might be a bit much with how detailed your dress is. A down-do would look great.

Low updo style with a braid would be nice or if you are trying to keep is boho/hippie maybe a loose braid off to the side. Pinterest has a ton of great ideas!

I'd do a braided updo. Bring photos of your dress to your hair and makeup trial along with a few different hairstyles and go from there.

I feel like a typical flower crown might take away from your delicate dress! What about a more subtle way to work in those hippie flowers?

You’re welcome! A touch of flowers in your hair would match beautifully with the details of your dress.

I think half up half down with a few flowers would be lovely! You'd get the flowy-ness of your hair around your shoulders, while still having some unique bridal accents pinned in the half-up portion, but not being too busy.

I’d wear your hair down and skip the flower crown. I’d go for a really simple veil or maybe a headband
