Hair supplements

So I work construction and my hair is constantly in some sort of ponytail bun. So over the hairs I have some breakage, i do the breakage shampoo, oils, leave in conditioners. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with hair supplements, weather it made your hair grow or strengthen your hair I look online but I was REAL reviews. So I would love to hear what you've used and if you like it or not and saw results?

Ive had good luck with the hair/skin/nails gummies. I forget the brand but it's a white and pink label. You can try any of them to see what works for you.

I don’t work construction (p.s. how COOL that you are a female in that industry!), but I am guilty of living in a messy bun, especially since Covid. I have noticed tons of breakage as well. I was advised to always use soft ponytail holders (velvet scrunchies are the best), and to make sure you are alternating where you place your bun or ponytail. Continuously placing it in the same spot day after day will cause breakage and can actually cause your front hairline to start thinning! So
some days wear it high, others wear a very low ponytail (by the nape of your neck) and others medium.

Biotin pills/gummies definitely made my hair thicker! Took like 6 months to actually start to notice, so it's not an overnight miracle, but it does work overtime

Not sure what ponytail holders you use, but I highly recommend using Teleties! I work in the medical dept. of a prison, and wear my hair in a bun M-F for the majority of the day. When I take my bun out I NEVER have hair breaking off and getting stuck in the Teletie, and my hair doesn't fall down constantly.

Not sure what shampoos you you've tried, but if you mostly use grocery store brands like Tresemee, Pantene etc, I'd suggest quitting those and getting a higher end shampoo! The grocery store brands smell really good and feel like they're doing a good job, but they really aren't. My friend introduced me to the Function of Beauty brand online, and I love it so far, so it may be worth checking out!

I agree with Ava about the velvet scrunchies! And not as tight of a bun/pony if you can help it!

I also almost always sleep with my hair in a bun on the top of my head, usually with leave in conditioner (I use Miracle), even if I hadn't washed my hair that night. Just simple day-to-day things that may help a little.

I also LOVE Nexus shampoo and conditioner.

I take biotin & it’s helped my hair. I also started using Moroccan oil- the repair formula. It’s kind of pricey but has done wonders for my hair!

I have found that my hair really reacts to how I physically handle it. If i wear it in a super tight ponytail, it immediately starts to break and rip in certain spots. Shampooing it roughly will also cause more breakage and split ends for me. I didn't even know there was a "right way" to shampoo until a year or so ago.

I have heard from several of my gardener colleagues that they take prenatal vitamins to keep their hair strong and healthy. They can be expensive, but pregnant women almost alwys have super nice, thick strong hair!

Biotin is the best vitamin for hair growth. Try sleeping with your hair down or using a bobble hair tie. I would also try to not put heat on your hair - let it air dry as much as possible.

    Biotin will help!

Don't sleep with your hair up (this was hard for me, but definitely helps)

Also Rejavabeads from Monat (they are an MLM, but I swear they work)

My hair was beyond damaged as I naturally have dark brown hair, but choose to live life as a bleach blonde, so constant bleaching for the past 9 years really did a number on my hair, and I didn't properly take care of it.

I recently cut about 4 inches of damaged broken hair off, with the mindset if I do it now, by the time I get married, next September, I'll have nice healthy hair instead of the straw I was working with.

I would consult your hair dresser, they'll know best. Also Olaplex Products! My Hairs never felt better!

I will also add, Biotin made ALL my hair grown, on every inch of my body. So take that as a warning in you're like me and hate shaving. My leg hair is usually very fine and light, but when I was taking biotin I looked like Chewbacca if I didn't shave every other day lol
