Hair or makeup first?

Hey everyone. Just wondering what you all are planning on doing as far as hair and makeup order. I always thought I’d want makeup done first but I really have no clue. I’m not opposed to either order but wanted to know pros/cons of both or how it worked out for you!

    I’ve always seen hair done first so the hot tools for hair don’t melt off your makeup. For my wedding they did my hair first as well. I would just ask your hair and makeup artist!

    Yes what Kelly said — usually it is hair first then makeup! And as far as order, I have always seen the bride go last

    My makeup artist is doing makeup first, then hair, then retouching the makeup after it settles, then veil.

    I didn't even think about this I'm having it professionally done and the hair and makeup people are from the same salon so I just assumed it all figured out?

    My hair and makeup is getting done by the same person. She did my hair first at my trial so I assume we'll do it that way on my wedding day.

    Hair first. Typically the heat from hair tools may melt your makeup so you'll want makeup second.

    My makeup artist thought hair 1st might be best because I will have some curls framing my face so my makeup artist didn't want them to be in the way while she did my makeup.
