Hair / Makeup Costs for Bridesmaids

There is no national average. Every city/area has its own price ranges so major cities will nearly always be more expensive than rural towns. You can get ballpark prices by contacting vendors via Thumbtack.com or Yelp. There are so many other variables that go into pricing: do they work for a team or independently? Do they have years of experience or just starting out, etc?

I am paying for my bridesmaid’s hair & makeup, but the stylist is charging $75 for BM’s hair and makeup artist is charging $250 per person

The company I hired for my June wedding (in Virginia) charged $95 for hair and $95 for makeup. They recently upped their prices to $105 each. I'm guessing a lot of artists are trying to make up for 2020 losses with 2021/2022 brides, unfortunately

Our hair and makeup team is charging $85 for hair and another $85 for makeup. So $170 per person.

It can greatly very depending on where you are located. Cities or touristy areas tend to be more expensive than more rural small towns.

The vendors we selected charged a flat fee of $90 for each person getting makeup, and the hair fee depended on the style selected. My hair stylist had the bridesmaids (and moms) send an inspiration photo from pinterest ahead of time to price the styles. Hair costs for the bridesmaids ranged from $90-$125 a person. In my social circle, it's customary for the bride to cover hair and makeup costs for their bridesmaids, so I paid for all of them.
