hair extensions - who's got em, gettin em?

MrsBeetoBe, on August 10, 2017 at 4:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

I really would like to wear my hair down for the wedding, but i have long thin hair. this is not something i normally worry about in my day-to-day life, but for the wedding, i would love to wear some clip-ins. i'm pretty hesitant about getting semi-permanent ones installed because of how expensive they are, potential damage, etc. i know clip-ins are pricey but i could justify it by putting taking them in and out whenever i want. any suggestions or similar thoughts here?

I am using cashmere hair extensions. Very happy I was able to get a perfect match to my hair color. I bought their swatch kit.

There are places that will assist you with locating the best color. I was worried because I have two tones of blonde. I went to Sally's and the clerk have me advice and so I am planning to save for them.

I bought some clip-ins for our engagement photos a while back and I LOVE THEM. They allow me to get much more volume on my updos (I'm more of an updo person). Lots of people say that Luxy and Irresistible Me are the best value for your money, but I bought mine from Sally's so that I could match my hair on short notice. I have started using them so often when I go out on weekends that I'll probably have to repurchase a fresh set by the time we get married.

I am getting clip-ins for the wedding. My hairstylist is going to highlight them to match my hair a few days before the wedding.

I wore clip ins for 3 years. If you're going to do it I would do it asap. it can take a little bit of time to find the right ones and get used to the extra weight of them on your head. I got really thick extensions and they gave me a headache for a while. My advice is to talk to a hair stylist before you go shopping. my hairstylist told me her favorite shops to get them at. those stores have experienced professionals who will help you match the extensions to your hair. I wouldn't ever pick them out on my own. I also recommend getting quality ones from a professional store. Good extensions cost money but they're worth it.

I'm getting clip ins. My hair artist recommended it due to the style I want. I want my hair half up and down with curls and need the length! I would definitely suggest clip ins over permanent..cost wise and just because you can take them out and reuse them easier!

My hair is fairly long, but not as long and thick as i would like. I am splurging a little bit and getting some added in a few weeks before the wedding!

I wear the bonded extensions year round. My hair is very thin and I like the fullness it gives me. I had them before I started competing as well. They will not damage your hair as long as you care for them properly. As far as color matching, your stylist can do that for you.

I have tape in's.. Ive had them for 2 years and you CAN NOT tell its not real! I have fine hair so I didnt want the beads because you can see them.. and clip ins are the same. You can wash your hair and style it just the same ( they stay in for as long as you want.. then when it grows out you get them moved back up.) I love them. * when you first get them done, do not wash your hair for 24-48 hrs.

I highly recommend looking into the Halo Couture extensions! No clips, tape, glue, etc. They are amazing. Mine has lasted over 7 yrs and I'll be ordering a new one soon for my wedding!

I have them and love them. I have Luxy brand.

I've only worn them a few times to try to keep them fresh for the wedding

I'm not getting hair extensions, but I had a horrible hair cut recently, they took off 6 to 8 inches of my hair and I'll be devistated if it doesn't grow back in time.

I have Luxy clip in from when I stupidly decided to chop my hair off when I was pregnant and regretted it 2 days later Stupid hormones! They are too short now but I will be buying another set for my wedding. Luxy was great with assisting me with selecting the right color and we got it right first try! They are 16 inches long and I just took them to my hairdresser and she cut and trimmed them to fit my hair. Easy peasy! -Edited bc autocorrect

I actually just ordered mine a couple day ago. I have long hair but it's very thin - I have absolutely no volume. I can't provide input on wear because I haven't recieved them yet but I ended up going with Luxy seamless clip-one. Their customer service was amazing, I sent pictures in and they provided me with the color that they thought matched best with in a couple of hours. Their reviews are also great. Mine come in tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to giving them a try, I'm hoping I won't have to trim them so I can wear them to my shower Saturday.

I have Bellami clip ins that I wear periodically for special events or a night out. I would strongly suggest getting real human hair (which Bellami is) so you can wash and heat style them just like you do for your normal hair. It's definitely an investment and can last you a really long time if you take care of them! I love mine and they look really natural/blend exceptionally well with other hair.

I have fine, curly hair that takes forever to grow long enough to actually LOOK long, so I've had almost every type of extensions - glue in, sew in, bonded... but I'm going with clip ins for the wedding. Go to your local mom and pop beauty supply or Sally's. Ordering online is tricky as colors vary and you can't see the quality. Also note that if you order them online, hair is usually non-refundable for obvious reasons.

If you can sew, you could also purchase wefts of hair and clips and sew the clips on yourself. It's very easy.
