Hair Down with Veil

Carolyn, on May 22, 2017 at 2:57 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Hi!

I went to my hair trial and thought I wanted a half up do but the reality is, I really prefer my hair totally down. But I would really like to wear a veil (that attaches towards back of my head vs top) does any one have experience with how well it would stay in, or pics that look nice??

Thanks!!

Could you get a hair piece/tiara that you could use to brace the comb for the veil in place? I also prefer my hair down but I decided to do a waterfal braid with just a little of my hair up and it will hold my veil. However I did but a sparkly headband that I could use to brace my veil before I decided for sure on my half updo

You can have your hair stylist add a braid underneath the hair (around where you would put the pins for half up half down and anchor the veil to it.

The other option is to just tease the ish out of it, and use a bunch of bobby pins and hairspray.

I am in the same boat...maybe just have a small amount of hair from the front pulled back just so you have a place to stick your veil but still have hair down in the front to frame your face.

I had my hair down with just a little pulled back for the veil. I had a pretty hair comb that hooked my veil on, and it stayed pretty well. Here's the best pic of the back of my head I could find.

My hair was completely down (think the way Sofia Vergara wore it on her wedding day.) My hair dresser used pins to keep mine on

How long does it need to stay in place? Your hair stylist should be able to come up with a good way to secure it. They can even pull back a tiny bit of hair for the comb. I'm thinking something like this but I'm taking the veil off after the ceremony.

I went half up half down...kind of waterfall braids on each side (though, I dont think those were very obvious) but looked great either way and my side swept bangs stay out of my eyes all night. The veil was attached just under a hair comb where my hair met in the back...need to find a good back pic!

Teasing will help make a comb stay! I suggest doing a hair trial and seeing what your stylist suggests.

Thanks for this! I want the same thing. I've also been looking on Pinterest and have come up with some decent ideas with just a little hair pulled back as someone else mentioned.
