Hair comb to attach to veil, what size?

Sharon, on July 13, 2020 at 8:48 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

I have a silk tulle wedding veil, it lays flatter and doesn't have that puff effect. Just a streamlined look without poof. That being said i still need to attach it to a hair comb to stick it to my head. I need help with the sizes of the comb. Some one said the smaller it is the more "poof" so I think i might go for a 3.5 inch but now i think i need a 4 inch comb. It will be gathered so I have that nice waterfall effect but again how big do i need to go to get that effect?

4 inch I believe will make it lay flatter.

Thank you, it will look flatter your right, i'm just nervous it might be too big. Maybe I can buy both sizes and see. I don't know why i didn't think of that, lol. Thank you

Hi Sharon! I think a comb that is 4-4.5 inches will be best for the veil to spread out and flow naturally, but I'd definitely buy both sizes and see how you feel!

I got my veil and we put it on a 3 1/2 comb but now I don't think it is "enough" i just lays there it's not as full as i thought. I like it doesn't poof out but it's too flat it clings almost to me instead of being breezy if that makes sense. should i try to stiffen it and use starch. I have a wonderful seamstress I'm going to ask her about it but i don't know what to ask. HELP
