So I had to drive about 2 hours because that's where my MUAH artist is located due to my location being destination. I was really excited because she had excellent pictures and had a glowing resume of being a MUAH stylist for an A list celebrity for many years. I sent her a Pinterest board full of looks and I am paying extra for airbrush.
Needles to say I am not happy. I even had her make adjustments because I felt she went a little too light on the foundation. She went back over everything with a different airbrush (not a profession airbrush by the way, it was one of the ones you get on an infomercial). She didn't re-bronze or add highlight back on top or any thing. And I feel like as a professional, I the client, should not have to remind her to do that.
Inspo photo
I ended up with a look that did not match my main inspo photo (and YES I know I dont look like that woman in real life and I dont expect to LOOK like HER, but I do expect to have the same "look"). I'm not sure what to do? Do I go for another trial and drop another $200? I am very nervous to trust this person with my wedding day look now, but I feel like she should get another chance? Maybe I didn't communicate properly. By the time I drove home (2 hours) I was an oily mess, I could see EVERY pore, and when I got into the light I could see that the airbrush makeup second layer was all over my lashes as well as my eye brows.Did anyone else not love their trial? What did you do?hair backhair backmakeupmakeupwhole look
