Hair and Makeup Pricing

I think this highly depends on your area! It's also such a large range depending on what specifically you're looking for. Hair pricing can range anywhere from $40 to $150 (also depends on the complexity of the style), and makeup is also in a similar range (and can depend on airbrush vs traditional, lashes, how much makeup is being requested, etc).

This is going to depend a ton on your location, as well as how experienced/established/talented/sought after the HMUAs are. Also taken into consideration will be whether you plan to go to their place of business to have the services done, or if you would like them to go to you and perform the services on site (on-site services will be more expensive, will likely have travel fees and a minimum amount of people who must have services done, and you will likely be responsible for any parking fees). To illustrate how much these prices can vary: I am having my make up done on-site in New Orleans. For myself and 3 others the charge is over $1600. My cousin had her make up done on-site in a small town in Illinois. For her and 4 bridesmaids, the total cost was $650. I highly suggest researching artists and picking your top five choices, then reaching out for a price quote from each of them to get an idea of what fees are like in your area.

I agree with all of the above. Where I live I got quotes ranging from $150AUD to like, $800 - I was like are they literally paining my face with actual gold or what?! Lol.


I would just choose a few (2-4) suppliers you like the look of and ask for some quotes and pick what you’re comfortable with cost wise that also can do the look you’d like.

This is going to depend on where you are located. For bridal hair and makeup mine was $300. For my bridesmaids it was $130 for both. I have seen some girls say they paid close to $1,000 for bridal hair and makeup. So it will really depend on where you live and what you are looking to do.

I would start researching and reaching out to hair and make up artists in your area to get a general idea of the cost.
