Hair and Makeup for black nj brides (and party)

Hi Serenity! I did some further searching and think you should look into the following makeup artists:

- Faith's Glam House: There are pictures of African American brides to illustrate their experience with women of color

- DSimone Artistry

- 100% Cashmeir

- Beauty-Full Ladies

You can also look for other makeup artists for women of color on Thumbtack's List of Black Makeup Artists Near Newark, NJ. I would also recommend trying MAC, as they have a good range of artists who are great with doing exceptional work on women of color! Let me know if you need any further help! Good luck!!

Hey Serenity, saw this post and was wondering the same. Im in N. Jersey also and found Oasis Salon in South Orange if that helps.

Also saw this and was wondering the same for Central NJ (Rutgers New Brunswick Area/Woodbridge/Edison/Menlo Park Mall)I may give MAC a try since they are at Menlo Park Mall.

I was the going through exact same thing when I was looking for a hair and makeup artist for my wedding. It took me months to find someone! I get married in two weeks, and I found my makeup artist two months ago, her name is Daurisa Tessier. Check her out on instagram, she is cost effective, does amazing work, fantastic personality, and when you talk to her you're to feel like you've known her for years. Congratulations! And good luck! I'm late to the thread game as I recently just got engaged and am just now really trying to plan this whole wedding thing. I stumbled upon your post as I've begun my own process of looking for a MUA and hairstylist for my own day. I'm using a lady and her Instagram is dippednbronze she's from Newark nj and she travel and guess what she only charges $35 a face
