Hair and Make up Logistics

Ann, on August 5, 2019 at 8:16 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 1 3
Hi all! How is everyone getting their hair and make up done? My wedding is November, on a Friday evening at 7pm, and the venue is about 30 mins away from me. And reception is on Saturday night around 7pm or earlier, and this venue is about 45 mins away from where I live. Are you getting your hair and makeup artist to come to your home first to get you ready, or are you getting ready at the venue itself with your hair and makeup artist? I heard some brides go to the salon to get it done, but I would prefer not to, as this adds an additional stop.

I would always prefer for the HMUA to travel, especially if you have a bridal suite to get ready in.

    Hey Ann!

Will you need to book your MUA and hairstylist for both Friday evening and Saturday evening?

Is there a space in both of your venues that would facilitate you getting ready there? You need to ensure that you will feel comfortable getting ready in your venue if that is something you want.

Have you found any HMUAs that you are interested in? You will definitely need to inquire about the additional cost of them traveling.

Are you planning on having a trail?

I'm getting ready at my parents house so my hair and makeup team will come to me.
My ceremony starts at 5 and we're doing our first look @ 2pm. Hair and makeup will begin at 8:30am.
