Had to postpone

We where supposed to get married 3/22/2020. Due to safety it was something that just needed to happen, a bit sad but keeping high hopes for a plan B. Stay safe out there brides. People didn't start canceling untill 1 week away 🤷

I commend your attitude! Our wedding was set for March 29th, but felt the same as you, we couldn’t go on with it when so many people would be at risk. Especially our grandparents! But excited for the new wedding and can tweak some things from our first planning! Do you have an idea of when you want to reschedule for? We are thinking November or December. . .

We aren't to sure yet. We where thinking of late August but I'm reading alot of people are cancelling even those dates, are you guys planning on getting married prior to your new date and celebrating with family and friends later? Or waitting until your new date to be wed?

We are deciding that now, I’m not a very patient person and I just want to marry him Smiley tongue but we are definitely going to have the whole ceremony and reception for family and friends even if he get legally married first! But I heard some of the courts may limit guests or close due to social distancing so we may not be able to do the legal ceremony first!

Have you thought about finding someone who is ordained? And have a witness and just sending it in? I'm definitely not waiting he has already started getting ready to move in seeing it was supposed to be like 5 days from now!

When do you think all this covid-19 stuff will be over or clear. This is so rough.

Yeah, luckily my future sister in law is ordained so she offered to perform a ceremony for us in a park or a place of our choosing. Seriously, I’ve been waiting like 18 months for this wedding already and I can’t wait too much longer haha.

I hope soon, they predict summertime it should calm down as many viruses don’t do well in the heat but since it is so new, it’s hard to call! I’m a biologist and I keep looking at the infection numbers and monitoring the similarities to Italy and China.

While it must have been heartbreaking, thank you for doing the responsible thing and postponing. It's people like you who give me hope that we might actually be able to beat this thing!
