Had to get a new wedding dress!!!

Emma, on September 10, 2019 at 5:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
After some alterations going very wrong on my last wedding dress, I had to get a new one, to be ready in 2 weeks 😫😂 the ladies in the shop were AMAZING!!

I want to try and get a little bit of money for my last dress- it was bought as seen and then I had to get my own alterations so I can’t return it.. a seamstress said they could change it to fit but it would take a lot longer than the time frame I had. It is a size uk 12 and is probably about an 8/10 now but would still need alterations to fit anyone- I bought it for £600

Brides- what should I do?? Where should I sell it and how much for?!

Most stores wont take them or give you what you paid for it. If you have a facebook try selling it on their marketplace

Honestly you’ll be lucky to get 50% of what you paid, maybe less because it’s been altered. The longer it takes to sell, the less you’ll get because fashion moves on. Put it in every FB sales group you’re in and take what you can. Cut your losses now or you may end up with nothing. Sorry it didn’t work out for you and hope you can recover some of what you paid.

You should try stillwhite.com. Great and professional site! But unfortunately I think you may get 50% of what it’s worth due to the fact that it’s been heavily altered ...
