Guys Suits

Kaitlyn, on October 14, 2019 at 3:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

So just to preface this before anyone suggests Men's Wearhouse, we don't have enough guys to get the free groom's suit and they don't rent just pants and vests anyway so that doesn't help.

The look we want for the guys is grey pants and matching grey vests, with white shirts underneath (which is the super easy part), and then ties from Azazie that match the colors we have for the girls dresses.

FH wants to do a sort of steel blue suit, so that's a separate thing all on its own, but I can't find any place to get the pants and vests for the guys. I'm not sure about renting vs. buying, I feel like pants and a vest would be cheaper than a full suit. Our ceremony is outside so I don’t want them totally baking in a full suit. (Don’t get me started on FH wanting to do a full suit, which I’ll admit will look nice and have a nice divide to point to the fact that he’s the groom, but we both sweat a lot and easily and I’m already taking the sleeves off my dress because I know I’ll be cooking in a 30-minute ceremony.)

Help!

Are you sure they don't rent parts? My H is in a wedding next weekend and literally just rented a vest and pants from Men's Warehouse.

You might have to go to a store and talk to someone to pick things out. Then you can just email the info to the guys. I'm not sure exactly what they did to get it set up, but H just got an email from the groom with a link to the vest and pants he was supposed to rent!

Our guys are renting from Black Tux - we’ve been super impressed with the quality and fit. I think you can rent each individual piece, including white shirts and shoes. But you add the pieces you want and then email a link to the guys and then they just pay and put in their sizes. And they get them two weeks before the ceremony. It was super easy and not expensive.

Ah never mind, the jacket comes with the pants. I thought everything was separate. Sorry about that!

We're just having the guys rent pants, shoes, and suspenders from MW and we went and talked with them in person!

We rented jacket & pants through GenTux, it was great. We had enough people renting that it was free for my husband, but even still it was only $100 to rent the two pieces. Then people just supplied their own belt, shoes & white button down and we supplied Azazie ties, socks & pocket squares. We had 10 GM so I didn't want to deal with finding a suit to purchase that came in every size & shape & worry about it going out of stock, etc.

Try Menguin or Generation Tux. They have lots of great reviews and are like Rent the Runway for men.

Try Generation Tux or The Black Tux. Very reasonable pricing, and so easy to do!

I don't see either of those having separates to rent, do they? Like just pants and vests?

I'm not sure if they have separates-but the prices were really reasonable, and they can just forego the jackets if they want. Their consultants are really responsive so I'm sure if you asked them to make you a package without jackets they would price it out accordingly!
