Guestbook at ceremony?

Reception sounds like a better idea

I’ve always seen it at the reception.

I've only ever seen it at the reception, that is where we will have ours.

Everyone invited to the ceremony should be invited to the reception so I don't see the point of having it at both.

I've seen both options, reception is definitely more common.

Mine will be at the ceremony for early arrivals and the DOC will move too reception.

I've seen both. Sometimes everyone can't make it to the reception so I guess it depends on your situation. If you know not everyone will attend thst id put it at both. Were doing both as well

We had ours out in the entry way as people arrived. Our DOC moved it to a high top table in the same room during cocktail hour. She then moved it to a small high top table in the bar (it was adjoined to the reception ballroom) in case anyone still wanted to sign.

I've only seen it done mainly at the cocktail hour and a little bit at the reception when the dance floor is open.

I have seen at both. However I know some people can not make to my ceremony so I think I am just going to have at reception.

I’ve mostly seen it at the reception. Although, my FBIL had a guestbook at the ceremony and then brought it to the reception where they had a second, more alternative guest book.

I've seen it at both, and I don't think it makes a huge difference. Since our ceremony and reception were at the same place, we just had it at a table outside the reception next to our escort cards.

I've seen it at both, I guess you could since not everyone gets a chance to sign it at the ceremony.

We're not having one because I personally think it's a waste. Sometimes your closest people don't get to sign it, cause everyone's busy. I do plan on saving the cards everyone gives us and putting them into a scrapbook.

I’ve seen both, but actually only if the ceremony has been inside a church. And only if it’s some type of actual book. Then I’ve seen it there so you can catch people coming in. Never seen it at the ceremony at an outdoor wedding. More elaborate artsy things I’ve just seen at the reception.

My wedding is at the church that I grew up going to. The sanctuary is at one end of the hall where the ceremony will be and the fellowship hall where the reception is is at the beginning of the hall near the entrance of the church so my guest book will be in the hallway centered between the 2 areas then moved to the entrance of the fellowship hall during the reception.
