Guest register attendant

Bridetobe, on July 14, 2015 at 8:31 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

I am having a very small wedding with only a MOH. I am paying for us to have our hair and makeup done. There is also a teenaged guest register attendant. Would it be rude for me to not include her in the hair and makeup?

A "guest register attendant"? You mean you're making her stand by your guestbook and tell people to sign their names? That's rude enough already. Just let her be a normal guest and then you don't have to worry about her hair/makeup.

Unnecessary. If you have a small wedding, I'm sure people will sign the guest book.

Frankly, I dont' understand even the need for a guest book.....

@stephanie nailed it. A guestbook attendant isn't an honor it is a needless chore. Skip it, your guests will know what a guestbook is and how to sign it.

I did not plan to have a guest book. The groom's teenaged son wanted his girlfriend to have a part in our wedding and this is all we could come up with because the wedding is so small. It's intended to make someone feel included and she was thrilled to be asked. So don't always assume the worst about people and their motives.

We didn't have anyone at our guest book.

That said, make-up and hair isn't necessary for that position.
